Urgently Required Job Title: Human Resource Assistant
Reports to: Human Resource Officer
Duty station: Chester House – Nairobi
Key task
Responsible for assisting with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions and duties. Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide general office support services; draft and/or processes  variety of correspondence and other communication including letters of introduction of staff to various institutions
  • Assisting in recruitment – placing adverts, scheduling candidates for interviews and helping in selecting the ideal candidates.
  • Update the staff list for resignations, transfers, change of designation and new staff.
  • Ensure that enquiries in HR office are dealt with promptly and courteously
  • Manage and alert the HR Officer on confirmations, expiry of contracts etc
  • Coordinate the exit/clearing process of staff who resign or their services terminated.
  • Manage staff welfare initiatives and assist in staff benefits management
  • Information management & archiving/ filing for HR related issues
  • Ensuring that all employees have N.S.S.F, NHIF and PIN numbers.
  • HR administration, such as leave management, maintenance of staff records.
Job specification of HR Assistant
  • Higher Diploma in Human Resources from a recognized institution
  • Bachelors Degree will be an added advantage
  • At least 1 year prior experience in a similar job in a busy environment
  • Attention to detail

CHF International’s mission is to be a catalyst for long-lasting positive change in low- and moderate-income communities around the world, helping them to improve their social, economic and environmental conditions.
CHF is seeking a Chief of Party/Project Director for a proposed 4-year, $10 million Department of Labor-funded project to combat child labor in Tanzania. This project will reduce child labor in Tanzania through an area-based approach in geographic areas where there is a prevalence of child labor in agriculture production and domestic service. It will work with local entities and build on existing efforts to reduce the worst forms of child labor , including programs to protect orphans and vulnerable children (OVC), increase access to education and promote economic opportunities for Tanzanian households most vulnerable to the worst forms of child labor .
The Project Director will provide overall leadership and technical direction for the project; oversee planning, implementation and management of the project; serve as key liaison with the donor, host government, and implementing partners; and ensure proper reporting, financial management and compliance.
Qualifications:
Advanced degree in education, international development, or a related field required
5+ years of international development program management experience on similarly sized multi-year US government-funded projects in the position of Chief of Party/Project Director; demonstrated knowledge and use of program design, management, and project monitoring tools
Experience and familiarity with USDOL policies, procedures, and requirements
Ability to maintain strong working relationships with all project stakeholders, including coalition building and promotion of public-private partnerships
Significant technical experience in the areas of child labor ; additional technical experience in education, livelihoods, social protection, institutional capacity building , and/or other relevant fields
Prior experience in Tanzania and/or regional experience in East Africa
Fluency in written and spoken English required
Second language experience preferred; knowledge of local languages preferred but not required

This premier school provides day and boarding facilities for both boys and girls, and excellent academic programs following the 8-4-4 curriculum. Lakewood Green Olive High School which is situated on the beach side, about 2Km from Tezo Trading Centre on the 8th lane off Mombasa-Malindi Road, is seeking students pursuing an education degree in Physics or Physics graduates with interest in gaining practical experience in teaching and education fields.
You will either be assisting the class teacher, or teach your own class independently.
Depending on your performance and availability of opportunity your internship can be extended by between three to six months, or you may be absorbed to join our full time staff on permanent basis.

Description
Compensation, Dates and Hours:
You will receive a modest monthly stipend of Ksh. 10,000/= for transport and upkeep.
You will be provided with accommodation and part transport.
Your position is full time and are expected to work during the program hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, plus during faculty meetings, extra-curriculum activities, special events and occasionally on weekends if you are the teacher on duty. Application process:
